I will be honest with you, it took me 3 months of owning my iPhone 3G before I had the guts to Jailbreak it. I was concerned about the void warranty issue for quite a while but the borring apps of Apple app store has kinda pushed me towards it.
And I gotta tell you - It a big revelation
The first thing I came accross in the Cydia installer was Quake for iPhone, I was kind of skeptical because to be honest I thoght the iPhone would not be powerful enough to handle it.
To my surprise it did, and boy it did a good job. I used to be a freak of that games in my good old younger times, I literately hanged in front of my PC for hours, and now here it is back again.
Quake for iPhone is truly the real deal and what I was expecting for quite some time.
It doesn't utilize the accelerometer or neworking like promised in posts over the web but you get to play the game on your iPhone with all the cool graphics and sound , you do get to use the shotgun, the grenades and all the rest of the weapon arsenal and I highly recommend that you download this game using Cydia and have tonz of fun!.
You can use single player or multilayer and save the game and continue whenever you want. In order to navigate you use the 4 arrows on the left and the two buttons on your right to jump or shoot.
